My teaching style is based around the individual student's needs and interests. Topics I always cover include basic technique such as scales and flexibilities, tone, musicality, and how to practice! I can assist with picking out and working on music for state Solo Festivals, as well as learning jazz improvisation and how to improvise. In this day of virtual band, I can assist with how to record at home, and how to produce your own music and trombone recordings.
Lessons are available for purchase in advance in blocks of 15 minute times. For most students, 30 minutes is a good length to cover most basics in a weekly lesson, but for more advanced students, 45 minute or 1 hour lessons are available. If a student needs some encouragement to develop a regular practice routine, scheduling multiple 15 minute "warm-up" sessions is a good option.
They may be scheduled on a regular or as-needed basis.
